Hello & Welcome to our blog!
We went on a nature walk on Monday looking for signs of Autumn in our locality. We talked about the colours we see in Autumn, the changes that take place and what animals are busy getting ready for hibernation in Winter. We've started a collection of conkers, leaves and pine cones in our classroom. We celebrated outdoor classroom day on Thursday too in our forest school. We all sat on tree trunks and discussed the signs of Autumn we could see, hear and touch. We found some interesting mushrooms on our way to the forest school. We listened to a poem all about the season and identified rhyming words. On Friday, we looked at the work of an illustrator called Lisa Congdon. At the moment, she is doing a series of small paintings every day that use the same colour palette. We decided to create our own collection of small paintings that feature seasonal objects such as pumpkins, leaves, mushrooms, squirrels and pine cones. It was lots of fun! Comments are closed.
